A dream in terms of aesthetics and build quality. Exceeds even the highest expectations. Before I ordered the framesets, I was in doubt as to whether the quality could compete with that of established brands. Now the question is whether the established brands can keep up with this quality.

The main issue that takes two stars away for me is the UDH and supplied through axle UDH has a standard of M12 x 1.0 pitch where is there “UDH” is 1.5 pitch so if you’re going to create a transmission mullet set up or the new Red XPLR build you’ll need a different thru axel. This oversight it a little annoying for a 2000 USD frame especially when the standard is open source. The rear thru axel is also counter sunk so a specialized thru axel with over 175mm in length is needed. Overall I like the bike and Joe’s review is reflective of what the frame is.

Of course, they didn’t actually come from nowhere. Years of racing MTB all around the world and developing MTB products put them in a position to look at the gravel situation from a different angle. Anyway, onto the frame. As a weight weenie, I certainly appreciate the 8**g weight. Weight certainly isnt everything, especially in gravel, but a light bike is a fun bike to ride, especially when it gets steep. However, weight aside, there are three main things I love about this frame. 1) Comfort. This frame rides like a Cadillac. I’m not sure if its the flat top tube or the included VFV seatpost, but this thing is my most comfortable gravel frame by far. 2) Handling. This thing is planted and stable in corners, but still has snappy and nimble steering. 3) Cable routing. The included stem allows you to route cables in various ways. I love having the cables enter the frame under the stem. I think its a great balance of aero / clean design / ease of building or travelling with the bike. If I’m nit-picking, I’d take off a quarter of a star for the seat tube bottle mount being higher than I’d like and the front calliper being mounted with proprietary bolts. Either way – this thing rips.
